About This Product
When bass have heard a steady procession of rattling lipless baits, changing the sound is another way to change your presentation. The BOOYAH® One Knocker® gives bass anglers a deep knocking option for working grass flats, points and other feeding areas.
A single oversized tungsten rattle supplies the thump, while the lipless body produces a tight vibrating action. The result is a bait you can keep moving to search an area or lift and drop through a smaller strike zone. Fish response can change from day to day, so let the bite guide your choice of sound and retrieve.
All three sizes sink and carry two treble hooks. Each package contains one lure in your selected size and color.
When to Use It
Late winter and the prespawn are productive times to put a One Knocker to work. Search submerged grass near spawning areas, rocky points and hard-bottom patches on flats. Stained water and heavily fished areas are useful places to try its knocking sound.
Fish it over and around vegetation with room for the lure to move. Exposed trebles can collect grass, so keep the bait near the vegetation tops and adjust your retrieve if it repeatedly buries in the cover.
How to Fish It
Swim it, then vary the retrieve
Make a long cast and let the lure sink toward the level you want to fish. Begin with a steady retrieve over the grass. If that does not draw a bite, add short rod lifts or change speed. To fish a yo-yo retrieve, lift the lure with the rod and let it sink again before repeating.
Control depth through the presentation
A One Knocker has no fixed diving depth. Sink time, retrieve speed and rod position affect where it runs. Start retrieving sooner and hold the rod higher to keep it shallower; give it more sink time to work deeper.
Match tackle to the job
For snapping the bait free of submerged grass, a responsive graphite rod and low-stretch line help transmit the rod movement. Choose tackle rated for the selected lure weight; the 1/4 oz and 3/4 oz models do not require identical casting setups.

Choosing a Color or Model
- 1/4 oz: The 2 1/4-inch model is a starting choice for smaller forage and shallower presentations.
- 1/2 oz: The 2 1/2-inch model is a versatile starting point when you want to cover water and work a range of depths.
- 3/4 oz: The 3-inch model offers a larger profile and helps you work deeper without slowing the retrieve as much.
For an early-season color starting point, Rayburn Red and Toledo Gold have a documented place in Jimmy Mason’s One Knocker approach on Tennessee River grass. Treat that as a starting selection, then adjust to the water you are fishing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the BOOYAH One Knocker different from the Hard Knocker?
The One Knocker uses a single tungsten rattle for a deep thump. The Hard Knocker uses multiple rattles for a higher-pitched sound. Switching between them lets you test which sound the bass respond to that day.
Which One Knocker size should I choose?
Start with 1/2 oz for a versatile presentation. Choose 1/4 oz for a smaller profile and shallower work, or 3/4 oz for a larger profile and deeper retrieves. Consider forage size as well as depth.
Does the One Knocker float, and how deep does it run?
All three sizes sink. Running depth depends on how long you let the lure sink, your retrieve speed and rod position. It does not have a fixed diving depth like a billed crankbait.
Can I fish the One Knocker with a lift-and-drop retrieve?
Yes. Lift the bait with your rod, then let it sink before lifting again. This yo-yo presentation is an alternative to a steady retrieve and is useful for working grass edges and bottom contours.
What size hooks come on each model?
The 1/4 oz model has #6 belly and #6 tail trebles. The 1/2 oz has a #4 belly and #6 tail treble. The 3/4 oz has a #2 belly and #4 tail treble.
How many lures are included?
Each package contains one BOOYAH One Knocker in the selected size and color. The three sizes are separate choices, not a three-lure assortment.
