New Fishing Lures You Don’t Want to Miss

Lots of buzz right now about new fishing lures, rods, reels, kayaks, electronics and more. The 2026 ICAST show, which is the primary trade show for the fishing tackle industry and a time when many companies introduce new products, took place last week in Orlando.

Several of the brands featured on Lurenet launched exciting new offerings for a broad range of fishing styles and situation. Let’s run through the best new stuff from your favorite brands!

We won’t attempt to detail every feature of every new lure. Click the link for anything discussed, and you can find full details about features, sizes, colors, fishing techniques and more. This is simply an overview of what’s new from Lurenet’s great brands to help you figure out which ones you need to learn more about and try for yourself.

Taking it from the top, so to speak, BOOYAH Bait Co. and Heddon Lures both added topwater lures that warrant attention.

The BOOYAH Flash Point Speed Walker is an extension of the popular the Flash Point series. It uses the same natural baitfish profile and signature “Flash Point” blade as the jerkbait, but in a highly responsive walking surface lure that is engineered to handle high speeds without blowing out but also can be walked slowly. The blade, embedded in bait’s throat area, creates subtle but distinctive flash. The Speed Walker comes in three sizes.

Heddon added three new topwater lures, two of which are closely related. The Spin’N Image Jr, Spook Stick and Spook Stick Crawler all behave differently on the surface and have distinctive appeals.

Development of the Spin’N Image Jr seemed inevitable to anglers who pay attention. The original Spin’N Image has been a favorite of bass anglers since its launch, and there has been a steady clamor, calling for a down-sized version with the same shape, action, sound and features. Heddon answered with the Spin’N Image Jr, opening new opportunities for creeks, ponds, fussy bass and more.

The Spook Stick offers a sleek glass minnow profile and walks with long strides to cover water quickly and coax strikes from fish that won’t eat other topwater lures. It is tail-weighted and engineered for long casts so you can stay back from fussy fish. The Spook Stick Crawler use the same body shape but is heavier so it can be cast even farther and has a reversed lip that pushes it to the surface and causes it to wobble and wake with steady reeling.

While the Speed Walker, Spook Stick, Spook Stick Crawler and Spin’N Image Jr were developed primarily for bass fishing, all have legitimate applications for striped bass, northern pike, redfish, bluefish, speckled trout and more. If any of these species are part of your fishing world, you can make the applications and might want to give some of these new topwater lures a try!

Moving down in the water column (and in size), Great Lakes Finesse, Rebel Lures and Bobby Garland Crappie Baits all launched new finesse offerings at the ICAST show. Some were developed primarily for targeting bass or crappie. Others for multi-species appeal. Whether intentional or not, all provide crossover value for other species.

The Great Lakes Finesse brand was developed by Great Lakes smallmouth experts who labor over every detail for coaxing strikes from undeniably difficult fish that live in very clear water and receive heavy pressure from skilled bass anglers. The new Skirted Ned Head was developed with these fish in mind, specifically for slow bottom presentations near boulders and other targets, with an ideal head shape, hook, skirt shape, sizes and colors for the job.

Rebel Lures has long focused on easy-to-fish lures that imitate natural forage species and appeal to a host of fish species. Rebel retained that emphasis with the release of the LIVEflex soft-plastic lure series last year and continues it with a great expansion of that series. Two new baits, the LIVEflex Hellgrammite and Tadpole, naturally imitate critters that are important food sources for many kinds of fish, especially in creeks and ponds. Both come with two of the baits pre-rigged and ready to tie on and fish.

Two new offerings from Bobby Garland (like everything Garland ever releases) were created primarily for crappie fishing. That said, both Slab Stalk’R swimbaits and the Head Lock’R jigheads provide major value for other species, especially panfish and trout.

The Slab Stalk’R is a micro-swimbait with that marries a Baby Shad body with jointed paddle tail for natural swimming action. At 1 1/2 inches it falls between most crappie baits and the Itty Bit Series in size. The Head Lock’R jighead, which comes in 1/24-, 1/16- and 1/8-ounce sizes and four colors, features a screw-lock keeper so baits stay in place even when fish grab them and when they get pulled through cover.

War Eagle Custom Lures, Bandit Lures and YUM Bait Co. also released outstanding new weapons for bass anglers, a couple of which also could have fallen into our finesse category.

YUM’s finesse addition, which is turning a lot of heads despite having been released only last week, is the Gadget Worm. Available in 5- and 6-inch sizes and 14 colors, the YUM Gadget Worm was designed to be the ultimate Neko rig worm and has some very cool features to make it just that. However, it’s also exceptionally versatile and well suited for shaky heads, Texas rigs and far more.

In addition to the Gadget Worm, YUM introduced the Mother Bug, which is a hybrid creature/craw that was created primarily for flipping and pitching but again serves a broad range of functions. Shaped to suggest a craw and move water, the Mother Bug is also intentionally designed to stay in place on the hook but to collapse as needed to allow for optimized hooksets. It comes in two sizes and a dozen pro-selected colors.

Bandit also dove into the finesse bass fishing world with the Bandit 50 and 50D. which are 1 3/4 inches in length and created for fishing on spinning or BFS gear. Unlike what is all too common for downsized hard baits, the crankbaits were precisely engineered to run true and created with top-level components. If they look familiar, that’s because the body shaping and diving lips borrow heavily from the hugely popular Bandit 100 and 200 Series.

Moving from finesse to major flash, War Eagle launched the Sonar Flash Spoon, a unique flutter spoon that is perfect for working ledges through the summer and for drawing strikes from suspended bass that are visible on forward facing sonar. In addition to being designed with an ideal wobble, this spoon features distinctive kicker blades on each side, which add smaller splashes of flash to mimic a school of baitfish. It comes in two sizes and five colors.

Finally, we’d be remiss to not highlight a few great color extensions that open new angling opportunities.

Many anglers consider the War Eagle Jigging Spoon the industry standard for jigging spoons. Five new “candy colors” include accurate baitfish imitation patterns and bold attractor patterns to broadly expand this spoon’s uses. All five new colors are available in both War Eagle Jigging Spoon sizes.

Bandit, meanwhile, developed half a dozen semi-translucent, highly natural craw colors and added them to the popular Bandit 100, 200 and 300 Series. The same colors are also six of the 12 colors available in the new Bandit 50 and 50D.

While not quite brand new at ICAST, the BOOYAH and YUM Bone Series, available on Lurenet, warrant mention. BOOYAH Mobster Swim Jigs and select models of Covert Spinnerbait are available in five different Bone-dominant color patterns, and seven different YUM baits are available in Bone. These baits provide outstanding visibility while strongly suggesting shad or herring.
