Discover New Releases from Great Lakes Finesse
Learn about Great Lakes Finesse spring tackle releases, which range from innovative soft-plastic baits and jigheads to premium GLF Finesse CX Rods.

The factors that prompted the development of the Great Lakes Finesse brand are only increasing. Ever more anglers, who are better educated and equipped than before, compete to catch the jumbo-sized smallmouth bass that inhabit the Great Lakes and other Northern fisheries, where ultra-clear water makes the fish even fussier.
Growing competition and increasingly discerning bass drive the team of anglers behind GLF to dig deeper, refining and developing techniques and perfecting tackle to best execute those techniques. Products released by GLF provide answers for specific challenges and commonly come as the result of years of development and testing.
Spring 2025 brings an exciting set of new GLF products that includes finesse baits, terminal tackle and the debut of premium Finesse CX Rods, plus new sizes and colors for several GLF favorites. We’ll let GLF brand manager and co-founder Dan Miguel share the stories behind and details about each new release.

With GLF launching entirely new baits and a series of premium rods, it would be easy to overlook important expansions with existing baits. The GLF brand team continually looks at techniques and situations and processes input from pro staff to make certain each bait is available in the most important sizes and colors. As needs are identified, options are developed and tested, and new sizes and colors that successfully provide solutions and, most importantly, show fish approval, eventually get added.
The Hover Minnow, which offers a unique spiraling, darting action, is now available in a 3.25-inch version, which is 1/2 inch longer than the original. In addition, GLF is adding five new Hover Minnow colors, all available in both sizes.
Other GLF bait getting new colors are the Juicy Hellgrammite (Whiskey Barrel), Juvy Craw (six colors), both sizes of Drop Minnow (six colors) and Snack Craw (eight colors).
