Rogues for Multiple Species

This lure can be primarily used for striped bass but can also be used for speckled trout, puppy drum and flounder. In the tributaries to the Pamlico Sound, Captain Billy Stokes of Ayden, NC, finds fish in two to six feet of water next to marsh banks, sandbars and sloughs. Stokes fishes the Rogue with a slow, steady retrieve, just fast enough to make it wobble. If that does not work, he uses a twitching motion or sometimes just a stop-and-go motion. Stokes uses Excalibur 8-pound-test line on a 7-foot medium-light spinning rod. His favorite colors are Blue Rib and Chrome/Blue Back/Orange Belly. These lures have been productive in all kinds of weather and at all times of the day.
