Scents & Attractants
Fish use several senses to find food. They can see it, feel it through their lateral lines as the forage moves or makes noise, and, of course, they can smell and taste it. This also means that a fish that smells and tastes something unnatural will head the other way. Both of these facts are reason enough to use a scent or attractant on your lures, not only to add more appeal (and even natural enzymes that trigger strikes), but also to eliminate any negative odors that might have found their way to your lures.
